Open for lunch and dinner seven days a week, with food served throughout the day on Sundays, a fresh, renovated dining room adjoins a characterful bar of beamed ceilings and Cotswold stone, with a large open fire and wood burners.
Upstairs, eight renovated bedrooms are a mix of stone and beams or of a contemporary feel, with views over neighbouring farms and manor houses. Comfy and cosy, all with ensuite shower rooms, there are also some family-room options sleeping three or four, well-suited for a short breaks or for groups of friends escaping to the Cotswolds for local weddings, parties or simply to explore the area.
A welcoming, dog-friendly, bar serves well-kept Arkell’s ale, several wines by the glass and a wide selection of gins. The community aspect of the Masons Arms is further enhanced by local photographers’ work which adorns the walls both upstairs and downstairs, giving visitors a real feel for the surrounding area. The pub sits proudly on the Village Green in the heart of Meysey Hampton, giving ample space to enjoy drinks or food outside in the summer months.
Open from 8.30am on weekdays, the Masons Arms serves locally-roasted coffee and a selection of teas offering a new dimension to the village pub and enabling the community to use the premises – a central hub of village life for so long – in a modern, relaxed way, popular for friends’ coffee mornings, business meetings and for post-school run drop-offs.
