Throughout the year the CWP Trust offers a variety of events which showcase this amazing landscape and everything in it. From guided walks, craft workshops, and talks our events are led by experts in their field who have a passion for sharing their knowledge and enthusiasm.

The Cotswold Water Park Trust runs a series of events throughout the year to highlight the rich diversity of heritage and wildlife which can be found in the area.
Types of events we run range from guided walks, workshops, evening lectures and family events.
Subjects covered have included bats, bees, beavers and birds, along with workshops on stone carving, pottery, willow weaving, printing and felting. Talks have featured a wide range of topics including Romans, aerial archaeology, woolly mammoth, hedgehogs and Bill Oddie amongst others.
PS As we are a small team, we are always very grateful for offers of help at events, be it taking tickets on the door or coming along on a guided walk as a ‘steward’. If you would like to have a chat to find out more please call Jill Bewley on 01793 752413 or have a look at the Volunteering page
Update Summer 2015: At present there are no quarries being excavated within the CWP where fossils are being found, so there are no planned Fossil Hunts in the near future. We are hopeful that this situation will change and as soon as it does, we will be in contact to organise some trips.
The CWP Trust runs organised Fossil Hunts for its members and the general public from time to time. These take place on a Sunday, lasting approximately 3-4 hours, and take place at various quarries, depending on excavations, water levels and permissions at the time.
These events are extremely popular, and as demand is always high, there is a waiting list. Priority for booking is given to the members of the Cotswold Water Park Trust, and they are given a week in which to book before booking is open to those on the waiting list.
Non members can be added to the waiting list by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please note availability cannot be guaranteed.
Quarries are extremely dangerous places and as they are all in private ownership there is no general public access. There will be no hesitation in contacting the police to report trespassers.
The current cost of a Fossil Hunt is £8.00 for adults / £5 for children. Please note we do not allow any children under the age of 5 , or any dogs . All children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
