There are lakes within the Cotswold Water Park where it is legal and safe to swim - read on!

Although there is a lot of water in a lot of lakes here in the Cotswold Water Park, many of these lakes are extremely deep and dangerous, with strong undercurrents and discarded machinery presenting serious dangers for all.

Please do not attempt to swim in any of the lakes unless they are mentioned below.

Public paddling and bathing

There is a large inland paddling and bathing beach at Cotswold Country Park, along with a fenced off playground and smaller paddling area for very young children.

Open water swimming

The following  are places where it is possible to do open water swimming by prior arrangement, and with certain time restrictions etc. Please contact them directly for further details - see below for contact details:

The Park is open Feb-Dec, with the largest inland bathing beach in the UK, lifeguarded during week-ends and school holidays from April.
Adventure playgrounds, cafes and wonderful lakeside walks. Activities include: peddalos, row boat and kayak hire,paddle boarding, raft building, zorbing and crazy golf.
