Countryside Access

Cycle Paths and Walks

Throughout the Cotswold Water Park, there is a network of footpaths and cycle routes.

The Cotswold Water Park has many public footpaths, bridlepaths & cycleways, with two national routes, the Thames Path stretching from Neighbridge to Lechlade, and Sustrans National Cycle Network Route 45 runs from Swindon to Cirencester through the heart of the Water Park. These both provide excellent walking & cycling opportunities.

The Society has been working hard over the past 10 years with local authorities, funding bodies and mineral companies to ensure that public access is a major priority for the future plans- if you would like to comment or help in any way please do contact us at info@waterpark.org.

New permissive paths have been created, particularly at Cleveland Lakes, near Ashton Keynes where an alternative wet weather route has been opened.

For more details on the routes for cyclists, buggies, and wheelchairs, why not send off for a free Access Map - just email your postal address to info@waterpark.org
