Cycle Paths and Walks

Throughout the Cotswold Water Park, there is a network of footpaths and cycle routes.

The Park has a selection of footpaths & cycleways, but we need to improve the network substantially - especially in the Central and Eastern sections.

This is our hardest project, and involves lengthy negotiations with landowners and funders.

The Thames Path stretches from Neighbridge to Lechlade, while Sustrans Route 45 runs from Swindon to South Cerney. These provide excellent walking & cycling opportunities.

We’ve worked closely with local authorities & landowners to plan the Spine Road cycleway and ensure that it links cycle routes together and makes the Water Park a safer place for families to cycle. The Spine Road cycleway is now largely complete, with just two sections missing - look out for the intriguing public art along the route.

Please refer to the map for locations of the footpaths and cycleways
