The latest map of the Cotswold Water Park has just been published, and so now you have no excuse not to get out and enjoy the great outdoors - there are plenty of paths and bridleways just waiting to be explored.
The CWP Access map has been produced by the Cotswold Water Park Society and is based on the Wiltshire and Gloucestershire public rights of way. It identifies the footpaths, bridlepaths and cycle paths in the area, and shows where paths have obstacles such as stiles or steps. The map also highlights a couple of routes which have been recently upgraded to offer a suitable surface for wheelchairs and mobility scooters, although there are a couple of 'teething problems' with these routes so please bear with us whilst they are sorted ( ie the route to Shorncote Reedbeds from South Cerney is under a couple of inches of water at present but is being sorted soon)
The design and production of the map was funded through Natural England from the Aggregates Levy Sustainability Fund, for which we are very grateful. We also have had some tremendous support, both financial and practical from the following organisations, all of whom should be thanked publicly!
Gloucestershire County Council and Wiltshire Council Public Rights of Way Team, Ride 24/7 of Cirencester, and South Cerney Parish Council.
