CWP BAP 2007 - 2016 launched

Revised document sets out 10 year plan for biodiversity in the Water Park

Last night, a large group of people attended the informal but extremely convivial launch of the revised Cotswold Water Park Biodiversity Action Plan 20017 - 2016.

Following almost a year of consultation, meetings, workshops and feedback, this new document sets out the work plan for conservation teams, planners, and landowners for the next 10 years in the Cotswold Water Park.

Dr Simon Pickering, who until two weeks ago was Director of Conservation for the CWP Society, gave an enthusiastic and passionate speech about the work which lies ahead, and how this can be acheieved through strong partnerships. He also paid a tribute to the tremendous work of the large body of volunteers who give up so much time to help move the conservation efforts forward.

The CWP BAP will be available as a CD, a hard copy (although there will be a charge for this) or to download from the website. Please contact Jill Bewley, Cotswold Water Park Society, 01793 752730, or email jill.bewley@waterpark.org for further details.
