Patrick Dougherty weaves his magic

Patrick Dougherty and teenagers

International willow artist drawing the crowds to Keynes Park

After only two days, the international willow artist Patrick Dougherty has already made his mark on the Cotswold Water Park, and he hasn't finished yet.
Assisted by groups of professional and amateur artists all with an interest in weaving using natural materials, Patrick started to create an amazing space using several standing pollarded willow trees, the like of which has never been seen in the Cotswold Water Park before. The work is still under construction but we urge you to come along to Keynes Park to watch this man weaving his magic before he leaves the area on Friday 01 June.
On Wednesday 30 May, a group of teenagers took part, in the pouring rain, in a workshop led by Patrick, and all seemed to enjoy their time, helping to shape the 'building' which has yet to be named.
