Cotswold Water Park Gateway Centre
Why not call into the Gateway Centre just off the Swindon to Cirencester A419 to collect some local information ?

Gateway Centre

Planned over 30 years ago, the Gateway Centre was opened in 2004 as the Water Park's information centre. It's a sustainable oak building with the largest photo-voltaic roof in the South West. It is heated & cooled by the embodied energy of the lake - and rainwater flushes the toilets!

With its large car park, the nearby Cotswold Outdoor shop for outdoor clothing and equipment, plus easy access to the canal, footpath & cycleway network, the Gateway Centre is a popular base for walkers, cyclists and bird-lovers.

As well as providing local information to visitors, the Gateway Centre also contains the excellent Coots' Café, which serves homemade freshly prepared food in relaxing surroundings.

The famous mammoth skull, found locally in a Moreton C Cullimore quarry by Drs Neville Hollingworth and Mark O'Dell is on display - one of only two mammoth skulls ever found in England.

The Gateway Centre is open 7 days a week 9am - 5pm.

For more information about the Cotswold Water Park, take a look at the Activities section of the website. To find out prices and times go to the individual operators websites.
