Help with downloads

There are three downloadable guides available for use on your mobile phone as you walk around Lake 6

SID Download

Public users with particular Windows Mobile handset for barcodes and SID

The image recognition software or Sculptural Identification software will have been tested to work only on htc Tytn II, htc S710 or Toshiba G500. It probably will not work on other Windows Mobile handsets.

1. Log on to CWPS website from home. Read description of posts and their use.

2. Identify your particular handset

3. Read instructions for the particular handset. Instructions include sample images showing representative effective shots of the 2D barcodes and the statues.

4. Download the SID reader. Install on phone.

5. Download multi media content, including video, audio and web pages. Install on phone.

6. Bring phone on visit to CWP and use as follows

Stage 1. Scan datamatrix/semacode barcode or statue in post

scan
2. Derive index (i.e. local URL) into initial content page for post

upload

3. Find content for post in handset’s storage and display on handset.

test

Clicking on one of the handset links causes behaviour as follows:

1 Clicking on a text or image link will display another web page (in the same browser). At the top and bottom of this page will be a link back to the original text only page.

2 Clicking on video or audio link will run the file in the handset’s media player. The last frame of the video – or, equivalently, the last section of audio – should be an instruction to close the media player and return to the text only page in the web browser.

3 When finished, the user can close, save etc the text only page at will.
