CWP Master Plan

Cleveland lakes

The CWP Joint Committee commissioned consultants Scott Wilson to complete a strategic review and implementation plan (a Master Plan) with the aim to produce a vision for the future of the area.

CWP Strategic Review and Implementation Plan (Master Plan)

The study, which has been undertaken in three stages, seeks to reflect the views of various sectors active within the Park, such as land owners, minerals operators, holiday parks and conservationists, and also the hopes and concerns of the 20,000 people who live within the Park’s 40 square kilometres.

Stage I Summary Report

The Stage I Summary Report represents the findings of the initial investigations by Scott Wilson in relation to the baseline information for the Cotswold Water Park. It also provides some initial indication of the future direction of the study.

Stage II – Key Issues and Options Evaluation

The Stage II phase of the study process identified through consultation the interrelationships between the various issues highlighted in Stage I. It also examined the various options based upon a series of feasible scenarios and how these would translate into a more coherent framework to inform the preferred option.

Stage III – Vision and Implementation Plan

Stage III provides the vision and strategic framework for the future development of the CWP. The vision is supported by an implementation plan covering an initial five-year period that identifies specific tasks and responsibilities required to achieve the vision. It is this document which provides the current basis for the consultation, although it is recommended that all three reports are read to ensure an in-depth understanding of the issues to be addressed and rationale for the vision, aims and objectives outlined.
