The Cotswold Water Park is much much more than 'a park' !

It is an area of 40 square miles and 150 lakes, with many different leisure providers, and many different places to stay. If you are looking for specific activities such as kayaking , swimming  or cycling, take a look at the Things to Do menu, and contact the leisure providers directly.

With so many lakes, there is so much to do, and so many wonderful places to stay - you will be spoilt for choice!   From lakeside holiday accommodation, watersports, angling, and more than 100km of footpaths and cycle routes winding their way around the lakes and lanes, there is plenty of chance to explore and get away from it all.

Since 1967, when the whole area of 40 square miles was designated as 'the Cotswold Water Park' , it has grown to become a major tourist destination in its own right - more than 500,000 visitors come here every year. Within the area  there are 14 villages and towns where more than 20,000 live and work.
