The Cotswold Water Park is an area larger than the Norfolk Broads, with 150 lakes created through 50 years of gravel extraction.

Attracting more than 500,000 visitors a year, it remains a peaceful place for much of the year, home to a wonderful variety of watery wildlife - wintering ducks, water voles, otters, dragonflies, bats, fritillaries, orchids and much more.

It is also home to more than 20,000 residents, living across the area in thirteen settlements, from tiny hamlets such as Shorncote, important Saxon burghs such as Cricklade to Lechlade sited at the head of the navigable River Thames.
